Heidelberg University is one of Europe’s oldest educational institutions and part of the German Universities Excellence Initiative. The Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing in one of the university institutes and promotes mathematical and computational methods across a range of disciplines in science, engineering and the humanities.

The city of Heidelberg offers a charming combination of medieval castles and modern outlook. Alongside the city’s castle, ancient ruins and medieval churches lie many internationally renowned scientific institutions and state of the art facilities. Heidelberg and its university thus provide the perfect venue for a rich scientific and social experience at Neuromechanics 2016.

The symposium will start at the International Academic Forum Heidelberg (IWH), situated in the heart of the old part of Heidelberg (“Altstadt”). A few talks as well as the “Frontier Session”, will take place at the Alte Aula of Heidelberg University. Both venues are within walking distance of each other, and very close to hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions in the Heidelberg Altstadt.
