We want to announce a number of talks given by ORB members in the fourth quarter of 2018 (October-Dezember).


Katja Mombaur gives an invited keynote at the 2018 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS) in Madrid, Spain. The title is “Realistic models of human motions for better wearable robots“.

Katja Mombaur will give an invited presentation at the Edinburgh Center for Robotics Conference in Edinburgh, UK, entitled “Improving human-centered robots by model-based optimization”.

October, 17

Matthew Millard gives a talk at the International Symposium on Wearable Robotics (WeRob) in Pisa, Italy on October, 17. The talk title is “A continuous and differentiable mechanical model of muscle force and impedance”.

October, 18

Katja Mombaur has an invited keynote at the International Conference on Neurorehabilitation (ICNR) in Pisa, Italy. She will talk on “Optimization-based analysis and design of exoskeletons, prostheses and assistive devices”.

Monika Harant gives a talk entitled “Optimizing Design Characteristics of Passive and Active Spinal Exoskeletons for Challenging Working Tasks” at the International Symposium on Wearable Robotics (WeRob) in Pisa, Italy.

Katja Mombaur is a speaker at the Heidelberg “Zukunftsdialog Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft” on November, 6. She gives a talk with the title “Mobilitätsassistenzroboter und -technologien für die Medizin 4.0”. The “Zukunftsdialog” is a public event with free entrance!
